A Mother's strength:the story of Nalongo Resty Nalwoga and her Quadruplets
in the vibrate community of Namasuba,Kikajjo Zone,lives a woman whose story is a profound testament to faith,resilience,and the power of community.She is Nalongo Resty Nalwoga,a mother whose life changed forever on a momentous day in October 1992.
The journey began at Nsambya Hospital on the 10th of October,1992.In a single,miraculous event,Resty Nalwoga gave birth not to one,but to four beautiful babies-quadruplets.The news spread like wildfire,bringing with it a wave of amazement and joy.She named her blessing:
-Nalubuga Patricia Doreen
-Namembwa Pamela
-Ssemutumba Pius
-Kyobe Patrick.
While the arrival of four newborns was a cause for celebration,it also marked the beginning of immense challenges for Resty.As a single mother,the pat ahead was daunting..The challenges were immediate and overwhelming.
.The physical and Emotional Toll:
Recovering from a multiple birth while trying to care for four infants simultaneously was an exhausting feat.Sleepless nights were multipied by four,and the constant demand for attention left her with little time for herself.
The Financial Strain:
Providing for one new life is a challenge:providing for four was a monumental task.The cost of milk,clothing,diapers and medical care for babies was a relentless source of anxiety.How would she afford to feed the all,let alone educate them?
Logistical Hurdles:
Simple tasks like going t the clinic or visiting family became complex operations.Caring for four crying,hungry,or sleepy babies at once required a level of organisation and energy that few can imagine.Yet,within these challenges,Resty also discovered the unique and profound advantages of her situation.
An Unbreakable Bond:From their first moments,her children had built-in best friends.They played together,learned together,and supportd each other in a way that only multiples can.Their homes was always filled with the beautiful,chaotic sound of siblngs growing up as a tight-knit unit.
A Magnet for Community Support:
Her story touched the hearts of many.It was through this that organisations like Vision for Africa and the compassionate hands of individauls like Sister Berna Nakazzi and Sister Anerscot stepped in.Their support was a lifeline,helping to shoulder the enormous burden and ensuring the children had what they neede to thrive.
A Multiplied Joy:
While struggles were multiplied,so too were the moments of happiness.Their first words,their first steps,their first words,their achievements-each milestone was celebrated four times over,filling their home with an exponential amount of love and pride.
The years passed,and the four babies,once so small and vulnerable,grew into remarkable adults.Through the unwavering support of their mother and helping hands of the community and organisations like Paladin African Foundation,they each pursued their education with determination.
Today,Nalongo Rest Nalwoga's heart is full of gratitude.Her stroy,collected by NTEGE PADDY of Paladin African Foundation,stands as an inspiration.On behalf of her family,she extends a heartfelt thanks message to everyone who played a part in their journey:to her dedicated sister,Berna Nakazzi,to Sister Arnescot,to Vision for Africa,and to all the unsung heroes who believe in them.
Their incredible journey,from four tiny cries in a hosiptal to four graduates holding degrees,is a powerful reminder that with love and community,no challenge is too great.

On september 26,2025,a team from paladin african foundation visited the Seat of Wisdom Preparatory School in Nakirebe village,Mpigi district.We were deeply impressed by the transformative work the school is doing within its community.
During our visit.We held a brief interview with the school's director,Mr.Ssenkumba Emmanuel,who shared the inspiring genesis of the initiative
Community's journey:from a volunteer effot to a beacon of hope
Seat of Wisdom Preparatory School began as a humble volunteer effort during the challenging covid-19 period.Mr.Ssenkumba Emmanuel and his wife started by teaching their own children alongside those from the neighbourhood.as their dedication became evident,the community's trust grew,leading to an increasing number of enrolments.
what started with just a few children has now flourished into a thriving educational institution serving 170 pupils from nursery to primary seven.the school employs 10 dedicated teachers,2 non teaching staff,providing essential employment education in the area.
OBSERVING THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.
Our team toured the school premises,observing the school premises,observing the children's learning activities and classroom arrangements.the commitment of staff and the eagerness of the students were palpable.however,it is clear that the school's remarkable success is set against a backdrop of significant challenges.
CRITICAL CHALLENGES FACING THE SCHOOL
Despite the director's unwavering commitment,the school faces hurdles that threaten it's sustainability and the quality of education it provides.the primary challenges include;-
1.Inadequate Infrastructure:the school lacks a permanent,study buiding to properly shelter the children,especially during heavy rainfall.
2. Vulnerable pupils demographics:a significant number of the children come from single-parent households or are orphans,requiring extra care and support beyond academics.
3.Lack of essential utilities:there is no reliable access to electricity and clean water,which are crucial for maintaining good hygiene,facilitaing digital learning,and ensuring a safe environment.
4.Financial constraints:insufficient funds make it difficult to cover operational costs,including paying staff salaries consistently and developing essential facilities like ibrary.
5.Food insecurity:many children stay at school until evening and require nutritious meals ,which places an additional strain on the school's limited resources.

A BEACON O F HOPE IN KABOWA:ONE TEACHER'S FIGHT AGAINST ILLITERACY
In the heart of Uganda,where the roar of Entebbe Road divides communities,a quiet revolution is taking place.It's a revolution led not by politicians or soldiers,but by a dedicated professional teacher,Mr.Tumusiime Godfrey,and his unwavering belief that every child deserves a chance to learn.
The Genesis of a Dream
Mr.Tumusiime ,a qualified Kyambogo University graduate,saw a painful gap in his community.While teaching at established schools,he witnessed first hand how expensive tuition locked countless children out of the classroom.He saw the hope in parents' eyes dim when they realized they couldn't afford their child's education. He couldn't stand by.Driven by a mission to give back,he started Christ Junior School in Para,Namasuba.His model was simple yet powerful:provide quality education on a voluntary basis to children from most vulnerable families.The community responded,and his dream quickly grew to over 100 bright-eyed pupils. A DREAM TESTED BY ADVERSITY Then.the COVID-19 pandemic struck.Like so many small institutions,the school was devastated.As a tenant, Mr.Tumusiime could no longer afford the rent and was forced to close his doors.The dream was at risk of fading away. But a true educator's spirit is unbreakable.After the lockdowns,with immense resilience,he resurrected Christ Junior School in a new location-St..Anne in Kabowa.However,the journey had taken its toll.The deadly Entebbe Road now stood as a formidable barrier for many families,and others had moved away.His 100+ pupils dwindled to 70. The challenge is no longer just passion:its sustainability.as Mr.Tumusiime explains,"While my heart is in this work,the teachers and staff have families to feed.They cannot work on a voluntary basis forever." The Children Whose Futures Hang in the Balance. Who are these 70 children? They are the ones this society can easily forget. -Total orphans with no one to pay their way. -Refugees seeking safety and a new beginning. -Children of single mothers who struggle to afford even the most basic services,no matter how low the cost. they come to Christ Junior School not just for an education,but for a meal,for safety,and for a sense of hope.but that hope is fragile. The Urgent Challenges We Must Face Together A tour of the school reveals the stark reality: -Lack of Proper Facilities:The structures are inadequate,a story told on our YouTube channel-a testament to a struggle that needs a happy ending. -Hunger in the Classroom: How can a child concentrate on an empty stomach?The school lacks consistent funding for a reliable feeding program. -A System Stretched Thin: There is a critical lack of basic equipment-not even enough to properly keep the children's records for their future.
